Welcome, friend. Feel free to scrawl your sign in a comment below. Let me know where you travel, what you love, and how you found this site. Have we met before? Thanks for coming!
I love to travel to tropical places! Tropical places I have been to are Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Australia, The Bahamas, and Costa Rica. I love tropical flowers, plants, bugs, the food, the ocean, the people, and so much more! These places make me feel amazing!!! Of course I have traveled to many more countries outside of U.S., but I wouldn't want to brag:)
Rachel, I have no doubt that you're more traveled than myself! Almost all of my traveling thus far has been Western. The feeling of being in a totally foreign place has hardly hit me yet, so I admire that in your experience.
Perhaps you and Jon with get out somewhere when the baby can swim?
Fantastic photos as usual. Equally encouraging are your writings. I love getting fresh perspectives on this journey.
I realized I've been lurking through your photo archives for about 6 years, its been great inspiration to continue shooting and simply gain experience.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, art and wisdom. its been a great encouragement
Jake, good to hear from you! And thank you kindly, by the way. I'm glad to have had some sort of impact on you, and hope to have more. Thanks again for taking a moment to encourage me, the Lord knows I need it.
I would like to express my gratitude to you for this site. For those without the opportunity to travel it is a beautiful window into God's creation and the way things are outside one's own bubble.
I found the pedadidac through a Google search and I plan to stick around. The little I've read through so far as very much been a blessing to me. You see, I grew up loving the outdoors in a family that loved the Lord and loved to drink in His gorgeous creation. But as a teenager I was struck with a severe case of a poorly understood chronic illness, and for several years now have been mostly bedridden, with even my windows completely covered 24/7.
My love for the outdoors has not changed, I'm simply restricted now to experiencing it all through the computer. I look at pictures, research gear, and delight myself with praising God the hiking trails of unspoiled terrain exist and that others enjoy them. You've detailed your experiences so well through both writing and photography that it is as close as I get to experiencing the real thing again, and is such a pleasure.
I also appreciate your theological thoughts, and your attitude in sharing the Gospel message.
I'll leave you with a quote I'm very fond of by Charles Spurgeon:
"If you cannot travel, remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is more glorious than all else that you could ever see. Get a view of Christ, and you have seen more than mountains and cascades and valleys and seas can ever show you. Earth may give its beauty, and stars their brightness, but all these put together can never rival Him."
Again, thank you for granting the world a window into your travels and musings.
Heidi, thank you so much for that amazingly kind comment! You've encouraged me to continue posting here, and I am so glad you've been blessed. May God heal you in His time, you will surely be as sound as Christ when we are with Him in heaven.
